Resource & Research Radar
The field produces more in a month than anyone can read in a year. The radar is the community's shared filter: what is worth adopting now, what is worth trying, what is worth watching, and what to leave alone.
What is in it
Six kinds of thing, updated monthly
Curated by the organizing team from what members submit, published as this living page plus a short email digest after each meetup.
Papers worth your evening
Two or three per month, each with a one-paragraph note on why it matters and who it is relevant to — not just a citation dump.
Tools & frameworks
Agent frameworks, evaluation harnesses, orchestration and observability tooling, with an honest note on maturity and cost.
Datasets & benchmarks
What exists for measuring agent performance, what it actually measures, and where the gaps are for our domains.
Courses & tutorials
Short paths into the field for people arriving from other disciplines, including material you can reuse in teaching.
Calls & deadlines
Conference and journal calls, funding opportunities, competitions, and internship deadlines relevant to members.
From inside KFUPM
Preprints, theses, tools and results from community members. Internal work gets the same billing as external news.
How to read it
Four rings, borrowed from the technology radar
Every item on the board is placed in one of four rings. The ring is a community judgement about readiness for use in research or teaching at KFUPM — not a statement about how clever the work is.
Rings move. Something in Assess in March can be in Adopt by September, and things do move backwards when the reality of running them becomes clear.
Adopt
Members have used it, it works, and we would recommend it as a default choice for the job it does.
Trial
Promizing and worth a real pilot on a real project, with someone in the community who has used it and can help.
Assess
Interesting enough to read about and experiment with, but not yet something to build a project around.
Hold
Avoid for now — unclear results, unsustainable cost, licensing or data problems, or better alternatives exist.
